Took these photos from the plane on my way back from LA on February 26th. I think Mike and Azure have the same photo of the moon.

Had a great time in LA scooting around with sister-in-law Penny last month. She picked me up from the airport and we took the leisurely route down to Newport arriving just as the sun was setting. Next day Jim took us to Temecula for a little wine tasting. Glad he was the driver! The week was full of walks - around Balboa Island, the Venice Beach and Canals (did not know they had any canals) UCLA campus and the quaint little shopping districts and galleries. Also saw Penny's synchro group practice and went to a Mardi Gras celebration. Got there too early for the dancing but Penny did a little anyway. After lunch at Gladstones in Malibu, Penny whisked me back to the airport.

Last year we thought we had some snow.....this year is a little much!
We are warm, healthy and stocked up on food, so we are good!

Snow days

"They" said it would snow on Saturday night.....it didn't. We woke up Monday morning to about 4 inches of snow...."they" didn't predict. "They" said it would snow about 4 inches more on Monday night and the commute would be awful...it didn't and it wasn't. Just goes to show how little "they" know and about how much we should appreciate all of the beautiful moments when they happen.

Had lunch with Cari, Robin and Wendy for our biannual birthday celebration. Cari thought it would be fun to post this picture as Azure is a big fan of the penguin. Jann came in to town that evening and we spent a few days shopping and the ALE home tour before she had to wing her way back to Florida. The Jersey Boys play at the 5th Avenue Theatre was next and it was wonderful. Lunch with Judy and Kandace before Kurt and Judy left for Hawaii. Dick and I washed three boats last friday. He quit again. (For those of you that don't know this, Dick keeps helping us when we need an extra hand working on the boats, then he immediately quits again.) Went to Whidbey Island with John and Terri and had a 60th birthday dinner for Steve Sutherland. Between that and the shop sales we keep busy. Wish you all a Happy Holiday.
